How do I add/edit featured items?

There are three ways of selecting Featured Items: you can specify search criteria, specify items by ID, or do a combination of both.
'Featured widget: items to show' dropdown is to select the number of items that will appear on your homepage.
'Featured list: total items' dropdown is to select the maximum number of items that will be randomly selected for rotation on your featured items page.
Each day, a list of items will be selected from your inventory matching the Featured widget. From that list, a subset of items will be selected for display on your homepage matching the Featured list.

To begin, click the 'Merchandising' link under the 'Website' heading in the Control Panel menu. Then, click the 'Featured' option on the right side panel.

Then, in the Collection list, click the 'Edit' icon for 'BookRouter Default' to edit the collection.

Then, under the 'SECTIONS' heading, click the 'EDIT' icon inside 'FEATURED ITEMS' to edit featured section.

By Search Criteria

You can enter multiple search criteria to select featured items for display on your website. When you are finished, click the 'SAVE' button to update your settings.

'Lists' includes categories and catalogs to choose from.

Below to 'Keywords' textbox, if you choose 'AND,' then the search will be narrowed to items that match all keywords. If you choose 'OR,' then the search will include items that match any of the keywords.

By ID

If you only want to show Items by ID, on the 'SETTINGS' tab, turn off the toggle switch for 'Use search criteria?'. Click the 'SAVE' button to update your settings.

Then, click the 'ADD ITEMS BY ID' tab. Enter the IDs of the items that you would like to feature.

Enter the ID of the item in 'Search Items' textbox and click the '+ ADD BOOK(s)' button.

You will see newly added item in the list below. When you are finished, click the 'SAVE' button.

Combination of Search Criteria & ID

You can enter multiple search criteria to select featured items for display on your website. When you are finished, click the 'SAVE' button to update your settings.

To include hand-selected items among the search-generated ones, click on the 'Add Items By ID' tab. Enter the IDs of the items that you would like to feature and click on the '+ ADD BOOK(s)' button.

If you would like your hand-selected items to be given priority, under the 'Manual Featured Items' section, turn on the toggle switch for 'Yes'.

You will see newly added items in the list below. When you are finished, click the 'SAVE' button.
